Please pray for my twin brother. I’m no longer the sickest one in my family.

From my mom:
Dear Family; Please keep Harry in your thoughts and prayers. He has been diagnosed with a brain tumor along his “motor strip.” We are in Charlotte, NC, where he was visiting his girlfriend when he had a seizure that woke her and landed him in the emergency room of the hospital where she is doing her clinicals as a nursing student. Thank God! Lots of unanswered questions at this point. We see a second neurosurgeon in Greenwood on Monday and expect to (also) be told there, that he should have surgery quickly to remove the bulk of the tumor, with the pathology of the cells to be determined after the surgery. After determination of the type of tumor and whether malignant or benign (they are thinking malignant, but won’t know until after the surgery), a plan will be developed for further treatment, if needed. First good news today from a functional MRI - there appears to be space between the motor strip and the tumor, which as we understand it, means less chance of negative motor skill outcomes from the surgery. We are worn out, and know we’re probably at the beginning of a marathon, not a sprint. Please no calls right now - it has been an exhausting couple of days, and we’re hunkering down in our nest this weekend after taking him home, to rest up for whatever next week brings. Thank you for your prayers. We’ll keep you updated as the days go by. Love, Lee
